A celebration of Song and Rhythm
January 27th -30th, 2012 at Kawai Purapura Retreat Centre Albany (near Auckland)
Summersing offers a weekend of community, rich with singing, rhythmic movement, percussion and more.
The outstanding leadership team includes Tania Bosak, a polyrhythm and Ta-Ke-Ti-Na specialist from Melbourne,
Julian Raphael, community music leader and specialist in African music from Wellington and SingForJoy choir
and ukulele group leader. Max Maxwell
Whereas the main emphasis is on group singing, there will be a strong rhythmic
theme running through the weekend and our leaders will draw from traditions ranging from Latin American to Gypsy/Romany
to African and Pacific.
