Singing Workshops

For those who would rather come and have a one-off sing, rather than be part of an ongoing group, or for those who are in ongoing groups and would like to bring friends and family along for a sing, Max offers periodic workshops ranging from a few hours to residential weekends. As in the Community choir we will learn and sing songs in multi part harmony, drawn from a wide variety of genres including African, Gospel, Maori, pop and traditional. These workshops are open to all, and offer the opportunity to experience the joy of singing in a large group.

This year, Max will be offering a series of themed workshops. Last year's offerings included Songs of Peace and Blessing and the hugely popular Beatles, Bee Gees, Beach Boys one day workshops.

Who knows what will come forth this year - inspiration comes from many and varied sources! So far two ideas are "Sacred Song" and "African Delight" with co-leader Jabu Mlangeni

I will be visiting Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin again and expect also to do workshops in other regional centres - Whangarei, Tauranga, Hamilton - and also around the Auckland region.

If you would like to help organise a workshop in your area, please contact me.

A few people missed out on the Beatles, Bee Gees and Beach Boys workshop in Auckland this year. If you would like me to repeat it, let me know.
